NJAVARA KIZHI
"Njavara kizhi" is one of the fomentation therapy mentioned in Ayurveda. The main medicine used for this treatment is 'Njavara' or 'Shashtika' rice,which is having lots of medicial quality. Since it is harvested in 60 days it is known as "Shashtika". The preparation of Njavara kizhi includes other medicines also including milk.
Patient is adviced to lie down in the droni and gentle massage is done all over the body for few minutes. The prepared potali is heated by dipping in the medicated decoction frequently. Whole body in different positions this potali massage is done (except in head). Generally It improves complexion, strength and vigour of the body & generates cool effects to the body.
